The Heritage Walk on Saturday 8th September 2018, will start at the Kenilworth War Memorial at 10 a.m. with local historians Susan Tall and Robin D. Leach and WW1 re-enactor Malcolm Cooper. It takes in Bridge Street, High Street and Abbey Fields, with a stop at the former Red Cross Hospital, in the Parochial Hall, for refreshments. Hear the stories and see the homes of servicemen and buildings that were put to wartime use: visit the graves of some of those who died. A pamphlet is available at Kenilworth Library and at Kenilworth Books in Talisman Square. To book your place (limited to 25), contact: |
A pamphlet from the previous walk from the Kenilworth War Memorial around roads of terraced houses in Spring Lane, Henry Street and Albion Street, illustrated by local schoolchildren is also available.
