WHO DIED AS A RESULT OF THE 1939-1945 WAR Most died on 21st November 1940, as a result of a stray German bomb, intended as part of the German blitz on Coventry but dropped on Kenilworth in Abbey End, not far from the Memorial. Many of these had travelled from Coventry to be safe from enemy action. |
