RMC 129) p.30 There have been some peculiarities amongst our people through the years. Here are a few. Lewis Bugby Most illiterate but a grand soul withal. What he lacked in education he made up in deep and true sincerity. For instance during the Prayer Meeting one Sunday evening we had been singing "When the Roll is called up yonder." Immediately our good brother was on his feet to lead in prayer and following his opening sentences he continued with "Oh God, I thank Thee there'll be no Roly Poly up there". Of course, that was more than the young folk could stand. Nevertheless there was a depth of spirituality in the life of Bro Bugby that would have surprised the casual onlooker. He was a great inspiration to our young people in spite of his ignorance and simplicity. | ||||||||||||||||||||
