Agreement for letting house between the Churchwardens and Overseers of Stanwick and John Betts.

Agreement between George Gascoyen of Stanwick, Gentleman, Thomas Aris of Stanwick, Farmer (Churchwardens) and John Chettle of Stanwick, Farmer and John Morris, of Stanwick, Farmer (Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Stanwick) and John Betts of Stanwick, Labourer.

Agreed to let from 29 Sept 1862 for one quarter of a year and so on from quarter to quarter until either party gives three months notice to quite, 'all that messuage tenement or dwelling house situate and being at Stanwick aforesaid and now in the occupation of the said John Betts together with the appurtenances at and under the quarterly rent or sum of Eleven shillings and sixpence to be paid on the day of the expiration of each quarter of a year'....
First payment to be made on 25 December next. Parish Officers agreed to pay all rates, taxes and assessments for the said premises and to keep the same in good and sufficient repair during the term aforesaid, damage by fire or other inevitable accident only excepted. [John Betts made his mark X]
